I can’t say that having an old farmhouse has always been a dream of mine. It was a fun and nostalgic thought but not a path that I found necessary to follow. But there is one specific farmhouse that has been a dream of mine for a few years.
I stalked it.
I crept by it slowly admiring everything about it, even it’s imperfections.
I left a love note for the owners confessing my love.
But the chances that my love and I would find ourselves together in the future were very slim. I lived many states away. It would probably be for sale when I couldn’t do anything about it. It would probably be too much money anyway.
Well, my courting paid off, the stars aligned, my prayers were answered and a pig flew somewhere because that old farmhouse love of mine is a dream come true.
It comes with baggage. It needs a good amount of TLC. It is sure to provide plenty of stories as we begin to make it our family home, our family farm and our family haven.
Jump on the farmhouse wagon with me and I’ll show you around.
Watch your step…
